Our proposed location is directly behind the beautiful Amphitheater at the Riverside National Cemetery

The array of brilliantly distinct features that serve to set apart the RNC Gold Star Family Monument from any other historical tribute of its kind is the design of David Neault Associates Inc., Temecula, California, and estimated at $100,000. The signature design includes the renowned granite centerpiece, inspired by the work of Blackwood Associates, Inc. Huntington, West Virginia through the Herschel “Woody” Williams Medal of Honor Foundation, “To honor Gold Star Families, preserve the memory of the fallen, and stand as a stark reminder that Freedom is not free.”
The centerpiece features four distinct panels of striking black granite, forming a half crescent, two-sided monument. In the heart of the centerpiece, a hollow cutout casts the shadow of a hero who is no more; a tribute to the beloved service member who willingly gave up his/her life as sacred testament to the American values of Life, Liberty, and Freedom. The front of the RNC Gold Star Monument will bear these words in brilliant, raised bronze lettering: “A TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR OUR FREEDOM, AND THOSE THEY LEFT BEHIND”.
The monument posterior will be images of Homeland, Family, Patriot and Sacrifice.

The aerial view depicts the centerpiece standing tall in the midst of a five pointed golden star. Observers can walk a 360 degree view, tracing the star outline beneath their feet, and leading them to discover the (5) beautiful military insignias in the star’s outermost points. Each stunning insignia depicts one of the five branches of our Great American Military: Navy, Marine, Army, Air Force and Coastguard. (4) Granite seat benches form a ring around the star. Each granite bench bears an inscription in brilliant bronze lettering, revealing the words: Sacrifice, Honor, Remember and Valor.
